Beneficial bacteria is the gut are known to attack pathogens, manufacture B and K vitamins and even act as anti-cancer agents. New research appearing in the journal Cell strengthens the recent scientific understanding that the microbes that live in your gut may affect what goes on in your brain. It is also the first to show that a specific probiotic may be capable of reversing autism-like behaviors. (more…)

Cover-up Showing Scientific Data link Between Vaccines Containing Mercury and Autism

CDC Manipulated and Covered up Scientific Data Showing link Between Vaccines Containing Mercury and Autism

Deniers of the link between mercury-laden vaccines and autism are going to have a hard time denying the latest findings by the Coalition for Mercury-Free Drugs (CoMeD). The nonprofit group has obtained critical documents via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that exposes the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) role in deliberately lying about and manipulating a key Danish study that showed a clear link between vaccines containing mercury and autism. The Gut Has a Mind of Its Own: A Homeopathic Strategy to Uproot GI-Related Ills Healthy Living, Natural Remedies

http://takshzilabeta.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/gut_ii.jpgSince when do you think with your stomach? Since forever. And this applies to everyone: children, adults, even pets.

Presently, we flounder in the wake of a new trend where the gastrointestinal tract has been disturbed by drugs of commerce to a steroidal level.

I call it the post-modern medicine syndrome: we are in a post-antibiotic, post-birth control pill, post-steroid, post-health phase of human health. Two generations have now suffered in this climate of drug-induced illness, which we call iatrogenic disease.

We have traded our short-term acute ills, such as ear infections, sore throats, fevers, and zits for chronic illnesses: disorders such as ADHD, autism, Alzheimer’s, learning disabilities, and of course, food intolerances and allergies. The list goes on.

How did it happen? It’s a much simpler matter than it appears on the surface. One of the quickest ways to flip the switch from normal behavior and acceptable health to awful behavior and chronic illness is to employ one or all of these drugs and viola! A healthy GI tract to a disturbed GI tract. (more…)

The Link Between Roundup Ready GMOs and Disease

roundup glyphosate kills gut bacteria causes disease

In a recent paper published in the journal Entropy, Dr. Stephanie Seneff and Anthony Samsel argue that the key ingredient in Roundup, glyphosate, contributes to most of the diseases associated with a Western diet — everything from gastrointestinal disorders to mood swings, heart disease to diabetes.

Monsanto has long argued that glyphosate is perfectly safe for humans. That’s because glyphosate works by disrupting the shikimate pathway in a plant’s metabolism. Human metabolism does not have the shikamate pathway, so we are safe.

But are we? Did you know that you are mostly made up of microbial life? That the bacteria and microbes that live within your gut outnumber your own cells 10 to 1? Did you also know that these microbes which sustain you do have the shikimate pathway?

In her paper, Dr. Seneff argues that glyphosate interrupts your gut bacteria’s metabolic pathways the same way it does a plant’s. (more…)

BPA Harms At Much Lower Levels Than Previously Thought

Heather Callaghan

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical found in most plastics, cans, and other types of food and drink packaging as well as money, receipts and newer kinds of dental resins. It is a known endocrine disruptor that hijacks normal hormone function – it is often called a gender-bending substance for its estrogen-inducing effects on lab mice.

It has been linked to obesity, infertility and reproductive disorders in both genders, breast cancer, behavioral problems, and more. Earlier this year, its damaging effects on neuro-development were scrutinized and it was shown to cause brain impairment. Two years ago, a Harvard study found a whopping 1200% spike in BPA levels in the urine of people who had recently eaten canned soup. (more…)

Processed cereals found to be neurotoxic

Processed cereals are sold to parents as a ‘good source’ of fiber, vitamins and minerals. In truth, these neurotoxic food products are loaded with heavy metals, sugar plus artificial ingredients which actually destroy the metabolism and brain function. After reading the rest of this article – you’ll want to find a better way to start your day.

How do food marketing executives sleep at night?

Just one glance at the marketing of these breakfast cereals and you have to wonder if these ‘ad people’ have any conscience at all. My own investigation (not that complicated) reveals a few shocking truths – you decide for yourself.

”The results are in! 9 out of 10 physicians* recommend Post Shredded Wheat as part of a healthy diet to help reduce the risk of heart disease and to maintain heart health. In fact, 96% of doctors surveyed with more than 15 years of experience would recommend Post Shredded Wheat as part of a healthy diet to help reduce the risk of heart disease.**” – Excerpt taken from postfoods.com (more…)
