Get Back in the Action: Natural Pain Relief

Pain is a delicate subject with my patients. When you’re suffering it can be difficult to express just how much it hurts. I’ve seen patients completely debilitated from chronic pain.

But Americans are tough. We don’t mind a little pain. As long as we can fight through it we don’t let it slow us down.

One thing you don’t want, though, is to take a pain reliever and have the side effect be worse than the original pain. And over-the-counter medications for pain have some pretty awful side effects.

In fact, the FDA requires all these pain remedies to come with a clear warning label making consumers aware of the risks for numbness, gastric bleeding, ulcers, allergic reactions and even liver failure.

The good news is, you can reduce pain using natural pain relievers that will help you get going again and get right back in the action.

I’m going to show you six herbs and nutrients you’ll never hear about from your doctor. They’re safe and effective – and completely free of dangerous side effects. You’ll also see the science backing up these natural solutions. (more…)

The Importance of B Vitamins to Overall Health

B vitamins are essential to health. Your nerves, skin, eyes, hair, liver, mouth, muscles, gastrointestinal tract, and brain depend on them for proper functioning. They are coenzymes that are involved in energy production and are also useful for alleviation of depression and anxiety.

As we get older our ability to absorb B vitamins from our food declines. In some Alzheimer’s patients, it was found that the problem was due to a deficiency of vitamin B-12 plus vitamin B-complex in an accepted multivitamin. (more…)

Curcumin: A Powdered Gold that Can Help Prevent Alzehiemer’s…

Here’s a great idea for the next Indiana Jones movie that could also help to save your life.

Indy is barreling through India, fighting his way from Calcutta to New Delhi, fending off poachers and thieves who are trying to rob him of a valuable golden powder that is reputed to have ancient healing powers.

Our hero manages to stash his treasure in an ancient recess deep in the Taj Mahal, only to have it discovered by tourists who think it is powdered gold.

After convincing them that the satchel contains poor man’s saffron, Indy delivers his treasure to a local medicine man who uses it to cure an entire village.

Seem far-fetched? Perhaps, but only the Indiana Jones part!

It turns out that there actually IS a golden spice that used to be considered a less expensive version of saffron, but is now heralded as “Indian gold,” due to its amazing proven healing powers for conditions such as arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease and possibly even cancer.   [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3iMjyEZ3zA]

Aspirin Helpful or Hazardous?

Aspirin, one of the first drugs to come into common usage, is probably the most widely used drug in the world. Approximately 35,000 metric tons are produced and consumed each year, enough to make over 100 billion standard aspirin tablets. Each year over 60 billion aspirin tablets are taken worldwide, with Americans consuming 34 billion of them. Right now over 50 million Americans take aspirin to prevent heart disease. At this point the question becomes:  Is all this aspirin really helping, or it is actually causing harm?
