Roundup ”Weedkiller” Feeds Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria, Study Finds

The nightmarish toxicological profile of Roundup herbicide (glyphosate) continues to emerge within the peer-reviewed research, this time revealing its role in supporting the growth of a pathogenic bacteria of great medical significance.

A concerning new study published in the Brazilian Journal of Microbiology titled, Influence of glyphosate in planktonic and biofilm growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, indicates that the world’s most widely used herbicide Roundup (glyphosate) may be contributing to the enhanced growth of the pathogenic bacteria P. aeruginosa in our environment.

The Brazilian team responsible for the study expressed concern over the “virtual nonexistence” of research evaluating glyphosate herbicide-pathogenic microbiota interactions, and conducted a series of microbial experiments to fill this data gap.  They noted:

Glyphosate is probably the herbicide most discharged into the environment. Due to its extensive use in the protection of crops, it is inevitable that it will reach surface and deep waters (Pournaras et al., 2007), especially after rainfalls.

5 Health Problems Linked with Low-Level Pesticide Exposure

Pesticides

Though pesticides are dangerous at high levels, recent studies have also suggested they may cause health problems at low levels of exposure, as well.
For years, we’ve been assured that the small amount of pesticides we ingest from foods won’t harm our health, but recent research is casting doubt on that theory.

It’s true that high levels of exposure are more dangerous, and have been linked with cancer, memory loss, and Parkinson’s disease. But small amounts, such as those that many of us are exposed to on a daily basis, may also increase risk of health problems over time.

Here’s a glimpse at what the science has found, along with steps you can take to protect your family. (more…)

New Study Links GMO Food To Leukemia

A groundbreaking new study published in the current issue of the Journal of Hematology & Thromboembolic Diseases reveals the potential “leukemogenic” properties of the Bt toxin biopesticides engineered into the vast majority of GMO food crops already within the US food supply.

Last September, the causal link between cancer and genetically modified food was confirmed in a French study, the first independent long-term animal feeding study not commissioned by the biotech corporations themselves. The disturbing details can be found here: New Study Finds GM Corn and Roundup Causes Cancer In Rats (more…)

How Monsanto has Completely Invaded your Reproductive System

death-ROUNDUP-41

Recent research has brought to light the danger that the herbicide glysophate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s RoundUp, poses to the human reproductive system. From causing infertility to being present in the womb and now being found in breast milk, Monsanto has indeed infiltrated the reproductive system in a very dangerous way. Glysophate Causing Infertility

In a study published in 2012, it was shown that RoundUp can affect and deform the formation of embryos of animals. Here’s an excerpt from the abstract:

The publication of a study in 2010, showing that a glyphosate herbicide formulation and glyphosate alone caused malformations in the embryos of Xenopus laevis and chickens through disruption of the retinoic acid signalling pathway, caused scientific and regulatory controversy. Debate centred on the effects of the production and consumption of genetically modified Roundup Ready® soy, which is engineered to tolerate applications of glyphosate herbicide[full study here].

A Russian study found that Hamsters fed GMO soy became infertile after two or three generations. (more…)

Is it the gluten or is it the glyphosate?

http://images.quickblogcast.com/80618-70584/wheatGlutenSensitivityMigrainePsoriasis.jpg?a=34New evidence points to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, as the culprit in the rise of gluten intolerance, celiac disease and irritable bowel syndrome. A study just published in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Toxicology (Vol. 6(4): 159–184 ) by Anthony Samsel and Stephanie Seneff explains how the nearly ubiquitous use of glyphosate as a crop desiccant is entering our food chain and making us ill. 11 Everyday Toxins That Are Harming Your Thyroid

Millions of people struggle with low thyroid symptoms, and millions more experience the symptoms of a low thyroid only to have their labs come back negative. They’re told they are “normal,” and are left with no answers. Symptoms like anxiety, irritability, depression, brain fog, weight gain and fatigue can debilitate lives for decades. One major underlying factor that isn’t being addressed in the standard model of care is toxins.

Whether they’re synthetic or natural in nature, toxins are a piece of the complex thyroid puzzle. Here are 11 offenders that may be affecting your thyroid function:

Are Polio and Whooping Cough Caused By Pesticides?

hazardous-pesticides

Vaccine advocates love to point out that the recent trend in not vaccinating is responsible for causing outbreaks of deadly diseases like polio and whooping cough (pertussis).

But could there be something else at play? Like pesticides?

Compelling evidence seems to suggest that there is a correlation between the spraying of pesticides and the outbreak of diseases such as polio and pertussis. (more…)

A suggested correlation exists when you look at the data that compares pesticide use during World War II in the 1950s and the polio epidemic that occurred simultaneously. Generally, as pesticides were used were often and became widespread, the incidences of polio increased. (more…)
