The truth is, you don’t need anything above factor 15. That blocks around 94% of the suns rays. Why one Earth would you need more? It’s all a hoax that “more is better”.

Sunscreen Lies And More Lies

Summer is a’coming in, so goes the old British medieval folk song. And with summer starts the lies of the personal skin care product industry.

The fundamental lie is that we need sunscreen at all. Just stay out of the sun until you can tolerate it. Otherwise, we need sun. Contrary to everything you have heard, sunshine protects against melanoma.

Yes, people get skin cancers in the sun—but only people with pasty pale skin, who hide indoors all year and then go crazy on their vacation. Intense and unaccustomed radiation is what might cause skin cancers. The darkened skin of a tan is your best protection from penetrating rays, not because the tan helps but because being in the sun certainly DOES.

I repeat: suns rays protect against cancer. It’s science that goes back decades and is totally ignored by the medical profession and the skin care industry. They are both screwed up, believing in hearsay and fairy stories.

What is one of the biggest threats to health today according to the mainstream media? It’s not the fact that mercury is present in a wide majority of the processed food supply, or even the fact that excessive amounts of radioactive waste is now admitted to have heavily contaminated the Pacific Ocean. No, the number one villain according to the mainstream media is natural sunlight — the very same sunlight that generates vitamin D upon coming into contact with your skin.

Commercial sunscreens are a danger to your health

A recent study has shown that a potent sunscreen ingredient, oxybenzone, may be a cause of endometriosis. This condition occurs when uterine tissue grows in abnormal sites in the abdomen and causes severe pain. Women are usually diagnosed because of severe cramping during their periods. In this study of 600 women, those with the highest levels of a form of oxybenzone in their urine had a 65 percent increased risk of endometriosis. Oxybenzone, like bisphenol-A (BPA), is a chemical that mimics estrogen. And endometriosis growth is fed by estrogen. (more…)

The weather is warm, school is out, and summer is upon us. Because of depletion of the ozone layer that protected against harmful radiation in earlier times, today’s sun exposure is not truly natural, and is more damaging. As we plan to spend more time outdoors, we must also avoid excessive sun exposure to protect ourselves from the free radical damage and wrinkling that can ensue and to minimize the risk of skin cancer. First we should be sure to seek shade often, wear protective clothing, and avoid noon time sun. When choosing a sunscreen or sunblock is important to use the safest and most effective methods of sun protection – the SPF number does not tell the whole story. (more…)

Use natural ways to screen excess UV rays

While it is true that we all need regular exposure to sunlight, there are also limits as to how much our skin can take. If you are fair skinned and burn easily, you don’t have to apply sun block lotions that are full of chemicals, preservatives and artificial colors and scents. There are actually natural materials and alternative ways that you can shield your skin from the sometimes damaging effects of UV rays.

The first and most effective way to screen excess UV rays from penetrating the skin is a physical barrier. This includes hats, long sleeve shirts, and other articles of clothing that physically shield your skin. Wide, floppy hats are one of the best ways to shield your face from excessive sunlight.
