Grape Seed Extract Boosts Muscle Energy & Calorie Burning

Several new studies are demonstrating a potent energetic improvement in muscles following supplementation with grape seed extract. These animal studies are unique as they are able to document which genes are getting activated, helping to prove the molecular function of grape seed extract to enhance energy production and exercise ability. 18,000 Scholars, Experts and Scientists From Around the World Meet On the Front Lines of the Battle Against Cancer

18,000 scholars, experts and researchers from around the world gathered for 5 days from April 2-6, 2011 in Orlando, Florida for the American Association for Cancer Research 102nd Annual Meeting 2011.

Being in a room surrounded by thousands of brilliant scholars discussing their latest work, eager to learn from one another is inspiring.  Having the opportunity to report on the research findings of Winston Salem, NC scientists from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center testing the anti-cancer properties of products from a successful Davie County company, Nature’s Pearl, is exciting. Grape seed, resveratrol and pomegranate provide potent blood pressure lowering effect

Adults aged 55 and older face a risk of developing elevated blood pressure greater than 90%, accounting for more than 40 million doctor visits each year and taxing an already overburdened healthcare system. Uncontrolled blood pressure slowly degrades the vascular system throughout the body and takes a particular toll on the kidneys, eyes and delicate arteries around the heart and in the brain. Small increases in blood pressure place an individual at dramatically increased risk from heart attack, stroke, kidney failure and blindness. Researchers focusing on the antioxidant capacity of grape seed, resveratrol and pomegranate found that regular consumption of these foods can effectively reduce blood pressure without the need for dangerous prescription drugs.

Grape Seed Extract Rejuvenates Brain Cells

Grape seed extract is known to bolster the structural integrity of brain cells and brain cell networks, which is why it is currently in human clinical trials for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.  A new study shows that grape seed extract stimulates the production of new brain cells.

Activating genes that have rejuvenating properties to cellular health is an exciting new frontier in wellness – especially when you consider that this is a hallmark of nutrition and seldom accomplished by any symptom-suppressing drug.  New research on middle aged mice showed that grape seed extract1 had a profound effect on generating new brain cells and strengthening existing brain cell connections in the memory center of the brain (hippocampus).  This study expands the known mechanisms by which grape seed extract is helpful to memory.
