Roundup ”Weedkiller” Feeds Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria, Study Finds

The nightmarish toxicological profile of Roundup herbicide (glyphosate) continues to emerge within the peer-reviewed research, this time revealing its role in supporting the growth of a pathogenic bacteria of great medical significance.

A concerning new study published in the Brazilian Journal of Microbiology titled, Influence of glyphosate in planktonic and biofilm growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, indicates that the world’s most widely used herbicide Roundup (glyphosate) may be contributing to the enhanced growth of the pathogenic bacteria P. aeruginosa in our environment.

The Brazilian team responsible for the study expressed concern over the “virtual nonexistence” of research evaluating glyphosate herbicide-pathogenic microbiota interactions, and conducted a series of microbial experiments to fill this data gap.  They noted:

Glyphosate is probably the herbicide most discharged into the environment. Due to its extensive use in the protection of crops, it is inevitable that it will reach surface and deep waters (Pournaras et al., 2007), especially after rainfalls.

The Link Between Roundup Ready GMOs and Disease

roundup glyphosate kills gut bacteria causes disease

In a recent paper published in the journal Entropy, Dr. Stephanie Seneff and Anthony Samsel argue that the key ingredient in Roundup, glyphosate, contributes to most of the diseases associated with a Western diet — everything from gastrointestinal disorders to mood swings, heart disease to diabetes.

Monsanto has long argued that glyphosate is perfectly safe for humans. That’s because glyphosate works by disrupting the shikimate pathway in a plant’s metabolism. Human metabolism does not have the shikamate pathway, so we are safe.

But are we? Did you know that you are mostly made up of microbial life? That the bacteria and microbes that live within your gut outnumber your own cells 10 to 1? Did you also know that these microbes which sustain you do have the shikimate pathway?

In her paper, Dr. Seneff argues that glyphosate interrupts your gut bacteria’s metabolic pathways the same way it does a plant’s. (more…)

Monsanto and the FDA: 2 crimes families working a trillion-dollar hustle

by Jon Rappoport

Perhaps you remember the ill-fated Just-Label-It campaign. A number of activist groups petitioned the FDA for a federal regulation that would make labeling GMO food mandatory.

The petition amassed over a million signatures. But the FDA decided only 394 of these were legitimate, because all the others were electronically submitted in one document.

Infuriating? Of course. But that was nothing. Let’s get down to the core of the crime.

Imagine this. A killer is put on trial, and the jury, in a surprise verdict, finds him not guilty. Afterwards, reporters interview this killer. He says, “The jury freed me. It’s up to them. They decide. That’s what justice is all about.”

Then the press moves along to members of the jury, who say: Well, we had to take the defendant’s word. He said he was innocent, so that’s what we ruled. (more…)

Think before going pink: Many breast cancer awareness sponsors profit from cancer

As we find ourselves once again awash in a sea of pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), few people who participate, donate or buy pink-themed products are aware that BCAM has always been a deliberate deception – a “pinkwash” which helps “do-gooder” sponsors hide their own culpability while promoting products which cause cancer.

In the beginning

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) was launched in 1987 by Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), a British chemical company which has been a world leader in manufacturing cancer-causing pesticides, plastics and other products. From day one, ICI and later spin-off Zeneca have used BCAM to direct research and prevention efforts away from chemical carcinogens. (more…)

Watch the ad that exposes false science throughout history: Tobacco, DDT, GMOs

There was a time when manufacturers of the infamous pesticide chemical DDT and the herbicide chemical weapon “Agent Orange” actually tried to claim that these two toxins were completely safe for human exposure, a contention that the world now knows is completely false. And today, these same companies are trying to claim that genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) are also safe, and that there is no need to publicly disclose their presence in the food supply. Dark History of the Evil Monsanto Corporation

click here to see Monsanto’s History TIMELINE

Monsanto is the world’s leading producer of the herbicide “Roundup”, as well as producing 90% of the world’s genetically modified (GMO) seeds.

Over Monsanto’s 110-year history (1901-2012), Monsanto Co (MON.N), the world’s largest seed company, has evolved from primarily an industrial chemical concern into a pure agricultural products company. MON profited $2 billion dollars in 2009, but their record profits fell to only $1 billion in 2010 after activists exposed Monsanto for doing terribly evil acts like suing good farmers and feeding uranium to pregnant women. Below is a timeline of Monsanto’s dark history.

Monsanto, best know today for its agricultural biotechnology GMO products, has a long and dirty history of polluting this country and others with some of the most toxic compounds known to humankind. From PCBs to Agent Orange to Roundup, we have many reasons to question the motives of this evil corporation that claims to be working to reduce environmental destruction and feed the world with its genetically engineered GMO food crops. Monsanto has been repeatedly fined and ruled against for, among many things: mislabeling containers of Roundup, failing to report health data to EPA, plus chemical spills and improper chemical deposition.

The name Monsanto has since, for many around the world, come to symbolize the greed, arrogance, scandal and hardball business practices of many multinational corporations. A couple of historical factoids not generally known: Monsanto was heavily involved during WWII in the creation of the first nuclear bomb for the Manhattan Project via its facilities in Dayton Ohio and called the Dayton Project headed by Charlie Thomas, Director of Monsanto’s Central Research Department (and later Monsanto President) and it operated a nuclear facility for the federal government in Miamisburg, also in Ohio, called the Mound Project until the 80s.

Health and corruption: the deadly duo (opinion)

One would think that in a world of sanity the goal would be to keep the population as well as possible

What do you think the goal would be in a world of insanity? Let’s take a look.

Monsanto, the salt of the earth, by their standards, alleges that their goal is to feed the world. So, they create genetically modified, chemically created foods because what God does isn’t good enough for them.

These gmos work wonders. They kill the bees, they create super weeds impervious to monsanto’s roundup, and they are banned everywhere but the United States.

To be sure there are no roadblocks, Monsanto’s former executives and lawyers have key positions with the FDA. That makes it so much easier to ban raw milk products and supplements that actually work. In addition, Monsanto has paid off so many people in Hawaii’s legislature and the honolulu city council that gmo labeling bills never see the light of day. If they do, they are defeated.

Sounds more like controlling the food supply doesn’t it? (more…)

Weather Control, GMO’s,Geoengineering Depopulation and the Commodification of Life by the 1%

Farm Wars

Amo 4:7   And also I have withholden the rain from you, when [there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

When the rain ceases, when the clouds burst, when the sea crashes in, when drought threatens to destroy all that we have worked for and we are left wondering where our next meal will come from, who do we turn to? If the mega-corporations have their way, it will be them.

Weather control, geoengineering, and genetic modification are man’s attempt to take over the earth’s natural ecosystem and design it according to his own limited concept. But is it wise, prudent, or safe to leave the re-designing of the earth up to some men in little white lab coats who think they have uncovered the secrets of the universe and know how to manipulate them for profit? New Evidence Against These Cancer-Causing Foods – And the Massive Cover-Up Effort

By Dr. Mercola

The World According to Monsanto is an absolutely brilliant documentary  that should be on the required viewing list of virtually everyone on the planet.  While it’s already a few years old, the information it contains will remain current until we stop allowing genetically engineered crops to be planted altogether.

The film explains how the biotech giant Monsanto threatens to destroy the agricultural biodiversity that has served mankind for thousands of years.  I must warn you though; it may bring tears to your eyes as you learn how they have decimated so many lives and part of the environment through their morally bankrupt behavior.

A Hostile Takeover of Our Food Supply

For millennia, farmers have saved seeds from season to season. Genetically engineered seeds have completely altered the agricultural landscape, as these seeds are patented, which means farmers must purchase new seed for each planting season and are not allowed to share or save any of the seed.

Doing so equates to patent infringement, and Monsanto has become notorious for tracking down and prosecuting farmers who end up with patented crops in their fields without having paid the prerequisite fees—even when their conventional or organic crops are contaminated by unwanted genetically engineered (GE) seed spread by wind or pollinating insects from neighboring farms that grow GE crops.

To do this, Monsanto relies on a shadowy army of private investigators and agents who secretly videotape and photograph farmers, store owners, and co-ops. They infiltrate community meetings, and gather information from informants about farming activities. Some Monsanto agents pretend to be surveyors. Others confront farmers on their land and try to pressure them to sign papers giving Monsanto access to their private records. Farmers call them the “seed police” and use words such as “Gestapo” and “Mafia” to describe their tactics.

For nearly all of its history the United States Patent and Trademark Office refused to grant patents on seeds, viewing them as life-forms with too many variables to be patented.

But in 1980 the U.S. Supreme Court allowed for seed patents in a five-to-four decision, laying the groundwork for a handful of corporations to begin taking control of the world’s food supply. Since the 1980s, Monsanto has become the world leader in genetic engineering and modification of seeds; many, if not most of which are “Roundup Ready,” meaning they can withstand otherwise lethal doses of the herbicide Roundup, also created and sold by Monsanto.
